2018
Sorry for the late in the year update. So much has been going on this year. Its unbelievable. The mares are still giving birth and its september. What is going on? Hopefully no more winter foals. Please guys!!!
So where shall I start? I guess I will go back to the begining of the year just before x - mas 2017 a colt was born December. He had to get his thick coat fast. By the age of two weeks old he was surrounded by cold winds, freezing temperatures and snow.
His mother is a very good mum and looked after him very well at her own welfare.

Solstice and December he is about 5 weeks old here. His mother became emaciated very fast as you can see from this photo. Thankfully she no longer looks like this.
When the herd came back a stray gelding had joined the ranks. Murphy, now he spent all of about 4 months on the common before he needed rescuing. He went from a fully fat pony to skin and bone. He "escaped" and was left roaming fending for himself.
Murphy has been removed from the common and is living the life of luxury with his new family members. After his removal the Beast from the East came and due to the dirfting snow access to the common was no longer and so the herd was left fending for themselves for at least two weeks with no hay or hard feed.
Due to this unfortunate circumstance little Tony who is very much missed perished in the snow. I discovered his disaperance so voiced my concern and he was found on the bank of a hill dead. Tony had a few health issues none of which could be treated without money. However I do not have the money to pay vet bills. So I fed him and looked after him as much as I could. He passed away at the age of 5. I had saved his life many times before and Pawl.

Tony and Pawl during their fight for their lives. It took me 6 months 2/3 times a week to bring them back to full fitness. Thankfully after this Pawl pulled through stronger and is still with the herd today. He is fighting fit.
